Reviving myself through isolation

Hey guys!!

Welcome back to capturedbyBarry, it's been a hot minute - I know! but I'm back in these rather uncertain strange times.

First of all I want to just appreciate these very testing times for us all and I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and most importantly at home! This is very different for us all and if you are like me routine is a huge part of my day... however this virus seems to have other plans for us all and has completely messed everything up! Being positive is very hard and I am trying my best to keep fit and ensure my mind is healthy by doing things around the house and working out from home... however I thought yesterday I would make the most out of my daily exercise activity.

I took a drive down to Holywood as I knew it would be quiet and I would not have much interaction with other humans this way I can walk and enjoy without having to constantly social distance (anytime I'm out walking I always forget to stay 2 metres apart and people are like :O running to the other side of the road as if I'm breeding the virus lol). Anyway yes so I drove actually firstly to Loughshore out at Jordanstown where I thought I would be able to take some nice photographs along the beachfront but when I got there the carpark was baricaded with metal fencing so that was amazing, love that for me!!! So I took it upon myself to drive to Holywood (seapark I think its called) basically its a few houses and a little mini beach that you could probably die in if the tide was to get you!

It was just so nice to be out in the sea air for a while and able to just take in everything in the tranquility and breathe...

Seapark is such a beaut place to visit and in the summer I can't wait to go back to get some more shots hopefully with no clouds!

Loved the aesthetic of this little wooden bridge it reminded me of something out of a movie - looks really rustic and provides a real seaside village vibe, crazy that this is literally 15 minutes outside the crazy city!

This is a close up shot - more details and tones are visible - the water looks so coldddd! How cool tho?

Holywood is really close to the City Airport too! Seapark is amazing to sit on the rocks and see the flights come in! I got such a good picture of this plane approaching, you can even see that it's a British Airways flight lol... hope none of the passengers seen me snap!

This is probably one of my favourites from yesterday - it was what I wanted to capture the movement of waves is so fascinating that this is how they look when you freeze them mid rip-curl - it ain't no surf able wave but it's so cool!

These are another two pictures I really liked from over a 150 that were taken! This place is calm and I would recommend anyone who wants to go a walk or to the seaside here is amazing obviously alone in these times but it really revived me and grounded me again!

Photography at this moment gives me something to do as I can do it on my own and it takes my mind away from the craziness!

I also think taking in and enjoying nature will help bring ourselves back to earth again, to keep us sane... we will get through this together but please look after yourself and your mind do what you have to do to help yourself get through these days... but please stay safe and isolated!!!
